Credentials and Qualifications for Gary D. LaFollette
March 1975 to July 1978 - U.S. Armed Forces
June 2001 to Current – Training Narcotic and Explosive Detection K-9’s, and Search and Rescue K-9’s, for Law Enforcement use and Private security with Jim Hornbeck.
January 2002 – Received Trainers Certification and became a DrugBeat Certifying Agent
January 2002 – Received Private Investigators License
March 2002 – Purchased K-9 training center from Jim Hornbeck.
July 2002 – Received approval from Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training to offer a Narcotic Detection K-9 handler class to law enforcement personnel for credit in Missouri and 17 additional states.
November 2002 - Received DEA License
December 2005 – Purchased Hornbecks Video Productions and became administrator and owner of Drubeat Certifications.
I hold police commisions in two towns in Missouri where I work as a reserve officer when needed.
During these years I have trained many dogs and handlers for narcotic and explosive detection. We have also held successful yearly spring seminars, which have allowed people to come together, share ideas, and solve problems that may have arisen in their working K-9s. I have made great friends along the way and appreciate all the support and knowledge that I have gained.
I am looking forward to the coming years, training more dogs, more handlers and learning more everyday from my various friends and colleagues around the world in the ways of training and handling the challenges of these incredible animals.
