Gary LaFollette started training Drug and Bomb Dogs for Law Enforcement and private security companies with Jim Hornbeck; of Hornbecks Video Productions and Drugbeat K-9 Certifications. Jim had been in this business for over 20 years. In 2002 Jim decided to concentrate his efforts on his books and videos and sold his training center to Gary, which became LaFollette K-9 Training Center. Since then Gary has sold many drug and bomb dogs to police and sheriff departments and private security companies across the US and internationally, and has established himself as one of the top police dog trainers and training centers both nationally and internationally.

Now along with our training kennel in the US, our partner Neal Rideout has opened Costa Rica K-9 where he is breeding, conditioning and training German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois for narcotic detection and patrol work

We have trained detection K-9's for sale as well as several training classes available for both Law Enforcement and Private Security. Dates on all classes are flexible and designed to fit your needs. Many years ago a man named Jim Hornbeck became a police officer, learned how to train dogs, and filmed hours of footage training dog and filming drug busts.   He put the hours of film together in many many video tapes to educate trainers and law enforcement officers around the world in the art of training and the necessity of dogs in our law enforcement agencies and private security communities.

Jim also wrote several books, created training and seizure log books to assist with defending the K-9 finds in court cases.  He also found a way to transfer the real odor of narcotics into a training aid to help minimize the use of Pseudo narcotic odor for those training without a DEA licence.  Over the years the web-site that these products are sold on has evolved into one of the most popular training and education sites known to K-9 trainers and law enforcement agencies around the world.
